An LED lighting device Aincludes a plurality of LED chips, an LED unitin which the LED chipsare mounted, and a mountholding the LED unit. This arrangement allows the appearance or structure of the LED lighting device to be adapted for various applications. For instance, the LED lighting device may be mounted on an indoor ceiling to illuminate the floor surface or an upper part of a wall surface.
