Abstract

A disassembly toolis provided for a handgun. The disassembly toolincludes spaced aligned upstanding side wall membershaving a longitudinally extending slotformed therebetween. A diagonally descending wall memberis formed on each one of the upstanding side wall membersto facilitate positioning of the sloton a guide rodso that a spring assemblyis compressed to allow disassembly of the handgun. The method of making the toolincludes machining a barto a predetermined length. A longitudinally extending slotis then formed in the barcreating upstanding side wall members. The upstanding side wall membersare then machined to a predetermined angle so that diagonally descending wall membersare formed.
