Abstract

In a method for generating a cipher-based message authentication code, a state array () comprised of rows (-) of bytes (S'-S′) and columns (-) of bytes (S′-S′) based on a message to be transmitted is generated. The cipher-based message authentication code is generated by retaining the bytes () of at least one row () of the state array ().
