Abstract
In an audio device for generating sound messages MSGi, a detection of defects is carried out by the digital superposition, on the samples of audio sequences to be restored Sqi applied as input to a digital analogue conversion audio chain-, of a test signal Sqhaving a spectrum of frequency(frequencies) outside of the spectrum of frequencies of the sound messages, and the application of this test signal Sqto the input of a duplicated audio chain-, and in the extraction of a corresponding test signal, at the output of the conversion chain, the characteristics of which are compared with those of the test signal applied as input. This detection principle has notably the advantage of being simple to implement in an integrated manner, allowing the use of such devices in systems for managing alarms, notably for managing alarms in aircraft. The analogue-audio signal Si to be applied to the loudspeakeris constructed at the output of the chain by eliminating the superimposed test signal.
