Abstract
A worm wheel housing portionof a gear casehas a bottomed cylindrical shape having a bottom wall portionand a cylindrical wall portion, and a bottom coveris assembled at an opening portion of the worm wheel housing portionso as to seal the opening portion. Among a plurality of latching structures for assembling them, as a latching structure other than those on a worm housing portionside, a grooveis formed to a latching clawextending along the cylindrical wall portionfrom an outer circumferential portion of the bottom cover, and a projecting pieceengaged with the grooveis provided on an outer wall surface of the cylindrical wall portion. Wall portionsandcovering side surfaces a and tip face of the latching claware provided on the outer wall surface of the cylindrical wall portion, so that breakage of the latching clawor release of the engagement of the latching clawto be caused, for example, when an object hits the latching clawcan be prevented.
