Abstract

The present invention provides a color tunable electroluminescent device, such as an OLED device, comprising a substrate, two electrodes, a stack of at least two electroluminescent emission layers () comprising electroluminescent molecules that is disposed between said two electrodes and an interlayer () disposed between at least two adjacent emission layers. The interlayer furthermore is an undoped interlayer and has a thickness that allows the formation of an interface region comprising electroluminescent molecules present in each of the at least two electroluminescent emission layers. Furthermore, methods of color tuning and producing such an electroluminescent device are provided.
