Abstract
A method for producing a phenylacetamide compound represented by formula (1): wherein Q represents a hydrogen atom or a halogen atom, Rrepresents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, Rrepresents an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, Ar represents an unsubstituted or substituted phenyl group, Rrepresents Rwhen Ris a hydrogen atom, and Rrepresents a hydrogen atom when Ris an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms; including reacting a phenylacetamide compound represented by formula (2): wherein Q, Rand Ar have the same meanings as defined above; with a dialkyl sulfate represented by formula (3): wherein Rhas the same meaning as defined above;in the presence of a base.
