Abstract

Disclosed is a technique for surely supporting multihoming for a mobile terminal (mobile node) moving in a local mobility domain. A mobile node (MN)connects via an IFto a mobile access gateway (MAG)that supports multihoming, and further attempts to connect via an IFto a MAGthat does not support multihoming. Under these conditions, according to this technique, when the MN recognizes that the MAGdoes not support multihoming, the MN notifies a local mobility domain that the MAGdoes not support multihoming if connection with the MAGis not yet established, and notifies the local mobility domain of information on a connection to a local mobility domain other than the MAG(connection with the MAG) if the connection with the MAGis already established.
