Abstract
A resonant converter comprises first and second input terminals () to connect a voltage source (V). A series connection of a first switch (S) and a second switch (S) is connected between the input terminals. A resonant circuit with a resonant inductance, at least one resonant capacitor (C, C, C), and at least a primary winding of a transformer (T, T, T) is connected to the common Terminal of the first switch (S) and the second switch (S). A diode (D) is connected in conduction direction from the first input Terminal () to the clamping capacitor (C). Another diode (D) is connected in conduction direction from the clamping capacitor (C) to the second input terminal (). A comparator () is connected across the clamping capacitor (C). The comparator () is further connected to a pulse control unit () to control the first and second switches (S, S).
