Abstract

The present invention relates to the preparation and use of (colored) organic particles carrying electric charge as electrophoretic (image) displaying particles, to electrophoretic dispersions comprising the organic particles carrying electric charge, electrophoretic (image) devices (especially displays) comprising the colored organic particles carrying electric charge, to the novel functionalized particles, and to their use. The particles are obtainable according to a method represented by the reaction scheme as given in FIG.
