Abstract
The invention relates to a chuck comprising a chuck casing () and jaws () moved radially outwardly and having an axially extending clamping face () for clamping a workpiece. The jaws () are guided in radial guides and are provided with two sloping guideways on an axially slidable clamping piece () is guided in such a manner that the jaws () are moved radially upon an axial sliding motion of the clamping piece ().
