Abstract
In a scissor type automatic cutter, as the movable knifepivots, adhesive between the web linerand the continuous labelmedium is squeezed out from the label paperat the distal end side of the movable knifeand sticks to the fixed knifeor the movable knife. Because a notched openingis formed in the upstream edgein the paper discharge direction at the other edge part in the paper width direction of the substantially horizontal stage surface, if adhesive sticking to the fixed knifeor movable knifemoves to the stage surfaceside, the adhesive can be removed from the notched openingand does not accumulate on the stage surface. As a result, cutting problems caused by penetration of accumulated adhesive between the fixed knifeand movable knifecan be prevented.
