Abstract

A toner having: a peak temperature before fixation Tof about 40° C. or more; and a peak temperature after fixation Tthat is lower than Tby from about 10° C. to about 35° C.: Tbeing a peak temperature of an endothermic peak occurring at the lowest temperature in a range of from 0° C. to 100° C. and obtained at a first warming-up step of a differential scanning calorimetry measurement that uses a toner before fixation as a sample; Tbeing a peak temperature of an endothermic peak occurring at the lowest temperature within a range of from 0° C. to 100° C. and obtained at a first warming-up step of a differential scanning calorimetry measurement that uses a toner after fixation as a sample; and the toner after fixation being contained in a fixed image transferred from a transferring member and fixed on a recording medium, a maximum width of an image defect formed after conducting a folding test of the fixed image being 0.30 mm or less.
