Abstract
The present invention relates to construction materials comprising at least one binder, at least one oil-containing filler and at least one metallate additive according to formula (1):(RO)-M-(O—X—R'—Y)  (1)wherein M is one of titanium and zirconium. The present invention also relates to methods of preparing and using the inventive construction materials. The inventive construction material compositions are capable of utilizing oil-containing fillers in which the oil is stable in the final composition and the desired mechanical properties of the construction material are maintained or improved.
