Abstract
A light emitting assembly includes an extruded heat sink () divided into a pair of elongated sections () with a plurality of light emitting diodes () disposed thereon. The elongated sections () present identical cross sections and are disposed in spaced and parallel relationship to mirror one another and define a fin space () therebetween. A plurality of fins () including bends () stamped therein are spring compressed between the elongated sections (). The fins () include shoes () at fin ends to space the fins () from one another in the fin space (). The fins () are retained in a fin channel () between a pair of ridges (). A plurality of straps () extend across the fin space () to clamp the fins () between the elongated sections ().
