Abstract
Fuel injection valveseach inserted into injection valve mounting holesare fixed to cylinder headthrough bifurcated clamps. Clampseach include base portionbrought into abut contact with and supported on middle boltwhich is disposed at the middle portion of cam bracket, bifurcated tip end portionpressing fuel injection valve, and intermediate portionfastened by bolthaving a tip end portion which is screwed into cylinder head. Four clampsare arranged on a straight line along a direction of a row of cylinders. Respective clampscorresponding to cylinders #and #and respective clampscorresponding to cylinders #and #are arranged symmetrically with each other such that base portionsare disposed on an outside. Core supporting holeis disposed at a central portion of cylinder headwhich is free from coverage by clamp. With this construction, it is possible to effectively release gas.
