Abstract

A hard coating film is provided and includes a transparent plastic substrate film, and a hard coating layer. The transparent plastic substrate film has mutually independent microscopic pits in at least one surface thereof, the microscopic pits each independently have a depth of 3 μm or below, the microscopic pits have an average length of major diameters of from 0.5 μm to 20 μm, and the number of the microscopic pits is from 25 to 3,000 per mm.
