Abstract
A driver assembly () for an introducer assembly () for the deployment of an implantable medical device () includes a sprung element () coupled to a yoke (). The yoke () is coupled to a gripper element (). The yoke () is coupled to a first handle unit () of the introducer (). The sprung element () is coupled to a proximal handle unit (). A brake element () acts to prevent operation of the sprung element () when no manual force is being applied to attract a sheath () and the assembly (). When manual retraction force is applied to the assembly () the gripper element () the brake element () releases a sprung element () so that the lighter can apply a force assistance to assist in the retraction of the sheath () and thereby to assist in the deployment of a medical device.
