Abstract
A liquid crystal display deviceincludes a liquid crystal panel, an optical member, a plurality of elongated parts, a plurality of joint parts, a frame, a chassis, cabinets Ca and Cb, mounting structures and displacement allowance structures. The liquid crystal paneland the optical memberare capable of light transmission. The elongated partsextend along edges of the liquid crystal paneland the optical member. The joint parts connect the elongated parts. The frameis formed in a frame-like shape and holds the edges of the liquid crystal paneland the optical member. The frameis mounted to the chassisand the cabinets Ca and Cb. The mounting structures are included in the joint partsof the frame, the chassisand the cabinets Ca and Cb for binding them in mounting conditions. The displacement allowance structures are provided at joint portions between the elongated partsand the elongated parts. The displacement allowance structures allow movement of the elongated partsin the extending directions thereof relative to the joint parts
