Abstract
An image-pickup device includes a photoelectric conversion elementthat converts light into electric charge, a capacitorthat stores electric charge which the photoelectric conversion elementhas obtained by conversion, reset meansfor discharging the electric charge in the capacitor, and an amplifying thin-film transistorthat receives, amplifies, and outputs the electric charge stored in the capacitor. In addition, the image-pickup device is configured so that the amplifying thin-film transistorforms a source follower circuit.
