[Object] It is an object of the present invention to provide an image display device capable of properly setting a display direction of an image in accordance with a user's will. [Constitution] When a user holds a cell phone such that a first switching keycomes closer to the user's body, this makes the user push the first switching key. If the user pushes the first switching key, a CPUdisplays a display image such that a display direction becomes a first direction where the first switching keycomes downside. If the user holds the cell phone such that a second switching keycomes closer to the user's body, this makes the user push the second switching key. If the user pushes the second switching key, the CPUdisplays the display image such that the display direction becomes a second direction where the second switching keycomes downside.
