Abstract
An improved electrical insulation tape () comprising a backing layer () and an electrical insulation layer () bonded to the backing layer () is provided. At least one of the electrical insulation layer () and the backing layer () includes a plurality of apertures () formed therein to improve flow of impregnating resin into the insulation tape () during resin impregnation.
