Abstract
A fuel filter system having a fuel filter () and water separation device (), a water collecting chamber () with a drain line () and controllable water discharge valve (). A cleaning component () is disposed in the drain line behind the water discharge valve (). A suction line () connects a fuel tank () with the fuel pump (). Between the water collecting chamber () and cleaning component () a connecting line () branches to suction line () having a pressure controlled stop check valve ().
