Abstract

A money handling apparatus () includes a collecting and storing unit () provided in a housing (), the collecting and storing unit () being configured to store money transported by a transport unit (). A memory unit () is configured to store an amount-of-money data which is a money amount of money stored in the collecting and storing unit (), and a limit sum which is a money amount of money that can be stored in the collecting and storing unit (). Based on the amount-of-money data and the limit sum respectively stored in the memory unit (), the control unit () performs a control such that the amount-of-money data does not exceed the limit sum, when there is performed a money collecting process in which money in the collecting and storing unit () is taken out from the housing () of the money handling apparatus ().
