Abstract
The present invention provides an internal combustion engine comprising an engine body, an overhangprojecting from a cylinder row end the engine bodyand extending from an intake sideto an exhaust sideof the engine body, and an EGR pipedisposed in a spacedefined under the overhangwith a gapbetween the EGR pipeand the cylinder row end of the engine body, thereby avoiding the excessive cooling of EGR gas passing through the EGR pipewhile reducing a length of a passage defined by the EGR pipe, and preventing members disposed near the EGR pipefrom being damaged by heat.
