Abstract

A fuel tank that is composed of plastic and that has installations. In order to functionally improve the fuel tank and to simplify the manufacturing, a shaped piece () is attached to the inside of the wall () of the fuel tank and connected to the fuel tank in a bonded manner. The shaped piece () is a flat component that has an open three-dimensional shape and forms at least one channel () and/or tank together with the plastic shell (). The shaped piece () is welded all around to the plastic shell (), wherein a welding flange () forming a closed curve follows the contour of the channel (). The shaped piece () has at least one mouth part () that is open toward the tank interior and is integral with the shaped piece.
