Abstract
A graded index multimode optical fiber () includes: a core () having an outside diameter of 45-65 μm; a first cladding () surrounding the core (); a second cladding () surrounding the first cladding () and made of a material having a lower refractive index than the first cladding (); and a third cladding () surrounding the second cladding () and made of a material having a higher refractive index than the second cladding (). The ratio of the outside diameter of the first cladding () to the outside diameter of the core () is 1.15-1.25.
