A liquid crystal display includes a color filter including a dye and a pigment, and the color filter is formed from a compound represented by the following Formula 1. wherein R1 is hydrogen or a substituted or unsubstituted C-Calkyl group, X, X, and Xare independently a NRRgroup, OR, a RC═CRRgroup, or a OC(═O)RC═CRRgroup, and Rto Rare independently hydrogen or a substituted or unsubstituted C-Calkyl group.
