Abstract
The invention which is the subject of this application is apparatus and a method for the application of labels to articles-, via adhesive or other mechanical location means. The labels are provided in a label supply () with respective labels () defined by a line of weakening () formed by slits () or perforations and the line of weakening includes at least one aperture () provided for engagement by a tool () at the time when the line of weakening is required to be broken to separate the leading label and allow the same to be applied to the article.
