The present invention relates to compounds according to formula (I) and pharmaceutically acceptable salts or esters thereof, wherein Rto Rhave the significance given herein. The compounds are activators of AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) and are useful in the treatment or prophylaxis of diseases that are related to AMPK regulation, such as obesity, dyslipidemia, hyperglycemia, type 1 or type 2 diabetes and cancers.
