Abstract

A cylindrical sliding bearingcan rotatably support a rotational shaft by a sliding surface(inner circumferential surface). A crowninghaving a sloped surface is formed at both ends of the sliding surfacein the axial direction. The crowningincludes a first crowningA formed of a sloped surface of a lining layerand a second crowningA formed of a sloped surface of a back metalpositioned on the lower side of the first crowning. Unlike a conventional sliding bearing, the back metalwhere the crowningis positioned is provided as a sloped surface (A). As compared with conventional bearings, the crowningcan be prevented from being unevenly brought into contact with the rotational shaft.
