Abstract
A first resist roller () and a second resist roller () are disposed in a transport path of paper on an upstream side and a downstream side in the transport direction of the paper, and the rotational speeds of the first resist roller () and the second resist roller () are controlled so that the leading edge of the paper butts against and stops at the first resist roller () and the second resist roller (), after which the paper is transported by the first and second resist rollers () and the angled travel of the paper is corrected. An angled travel detection unit () that detects angled travel in the paper is disposed upstream from the first resist roller () in the transport direction of the paper.
