Abstract
A zoom lens system comprising: a positive first lens unit; a negative second lens unit; a positive third lens unit; a fourth lens unit; and an aperture diaphragm provided between the third lens unit and the fourth lens unit, wherein in zooming, the first to third lens units are moved along an optical axis to perform magnification change, the third lens unit includes two or more lens elements and one or more inter-lens-element air spaces, and the conditions: −7.0<f/f<−4.0 and f/f>9.0 (fand f: composite focal lengths of the first and second lens units, fand f: focal lengths of the entire system at a wide-angle limit and a telephoto limit) are satisfied.
