Abstract
A longitudinal adjuster for a vehicle seat () with a spindle (), which is arranged in a hollow space formed by a pair of rails (), and with spindle holders (). The area of connection of at least one of the spindle holders () to one of the rails () lies outside of the hollow space formed by the rails ().
