Abstract
A cylinder lock with a rotatable key plug () having a profiled keyway (), the keyway being configured to accommodate an elongated, substantially flat key blade () with a longitudinal groove (). The keyway in the key plug has two opposite lateral sides and a profile rib () located at a substantially flat lateral side. The profile rib has a downwardly projecting tongue portion () configured to extend inside the profile groove () upon inserting the key () into the key plug () of the lock, and the tongue portion of the profile rib is extended downwardly into a lowermost, massive end portion () which has two opposite side surfaces () and a lowermost transverse end surface () which is substantially flat or slightly curved. The lowermost, massive end portion () extends downwardly in a direction which is parallel to a central longitudinal plane (A') through said keyway, and the lowermost transverse end surface () extends substantially in a plane which is perpendicular to a the central longitudinal plane (A′).
