A Gilbert mixer () comprising four switching transistors (Q, Q, Q, Q), two intermediate frequency transistors (Q, Q), and one or more DC decoupling components (). The one or more DC decoupling components () are coupled between the switching transistors (Q, Q, Q, Q) and the intermediate frequency transistors (Q, Q) in order to DC decouple the switching transistors (Q, Q, Q, Q) from the intermediate frequency transistors (Q, Q).
