Abstract
A method for removing gas components SO, NO, and COfrom a flue gas, comprises the steps of contacting the flue gas successively with first, second and third liquid mediums each of which provides a plasma containing reactive electrons or ions in an amount such that the gas molecules SO, NO, and COare successively subjected to impingement of the electrons or ions in the respective plasma to enable the dissociation of the gas molecules SO, NO, and COso as to remove SO, NO, and COfrom the flue gas. A system for removing gas components SO, NO, and COfrom a flue gas is also disclosed.
