Abstract

Provided is an exhaust-treatment device for a diesel engine, said device being capable of suppressing engine noise. In a first stage Pof an exhaust-temperature-raising process, a target engine speed is set to a prescribed first target speed Rand an intake throttle valveis set to a prescribed first degree of opening O. In a second stage P, the target engine speed is maintained at the first target speed Rand the intake throttle valveis set to a position more closed than the first degree of opening O. When a set duration Tfor the second stage Phas come to an end, the intake throttle valveis at a second degree of opening O, which is maintained in third and subsequent stages P/P. In said third and subsequent stages P/P, as a set duration T/Tfor each stage P/Ppasses, the target engine speed is updated to a target speed R/Rhigher than the target speed R/Rduring the immediately prior stage P/P, and the temperature of DPFupstream exhaust gasis increased.
