Abstract
A wireless communication device which can receive broadcast multi-casted data without sending a radio wave, and data reception method of the same. A mobile phone () is provided with a storage unit () which stores the time that BCMCS transmission takes place; a communication unit () which is compliant with CDMA2000_1x and EVDO which allows for acquisition of the channel of the BCMCS transmission; and a control unit () which performs control so that the communication unit () begins to receive BCMCS transmitted content data, using EVDO, at the time stored in the storage unit (). When in a state where an instruction has been made to shift to a radio wave non-sending state in which radio waves are not sent, the control unit () does not use CDMA2000_1x when the content data is being received at the time stored in the storage unit ().
