Abstract
A polyether-modified polysiloxane containing a perfluoropolyether group and its production method are provided. The polysiloxane has both the properties of a perfluoropolyether and the properties of a polyether-modified silicone, and it also has high affinity for organic solvents as well as coating compositions, cosmetics, and various coating materials. The polysiloxane is represented by the following general formula (1): wherein Rf is a perfluoroalkyl group; X is fluorine atom or trifluoromethyl group; Q is a divalent organic group, R is hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, or acyl group; Rand Rare an alkyl group, aryl group, or an aralkyl group; a, b, c, d are 0 to 200; a+b+c+d is at least 1; e is 0 or 1; p and q are 0 to 50 with the proviso that p+q is at least 2; and k is 1 to 3.
