A light-emitting device includes a light-emitting element; and a lens sectioncovering over the light-emitting element. The lens sectionincludes an entrance surface Son which light from the light-emitting elementis incident; an exit surface Sfrom which the light incident on the entrance surface Sis emitted; and an optical axis L extending so as to penetrate the entrance surface Sand the exit surface S.
