Abstract
The invention relates to a method for the operation of a gear or profile grinding machine () for the grinding of pre-geared or pre-profiled workpieces (), wherein the machine comprises at least one tool spindle () which can carry at least one grinding tool () and wherein the machine comprises at least two workpiece spindles () which can at least temporarily be driven to the tool spindle () for cooperation of the workpiece () with the grinding tool (). To improve the ratio between primary processing time and secondary processing time the invention proposes that the at least two workpiece spindles () are pivoted around a respective axis of rotation () for transportation from a grinding position (I) to a loading station (II) and vice versa, wherein the rotation of the two workpiece spindles () takes place independently from another. Furthermore, the invention relates to a gear or profile grinding machine.
