Abstract

The present invention discloses fused thienopyridyl compounds of general formula (I) wherein X-X, R-R, Zand L are as defined in the description. The resent invention also discloses a method for inhibiting the VR1 receptor in mammals using these compounds, a method for controlling pain, urinary incontinence, bladder overactivity, and inflammatory thermal hyperalgesia in mammals, and pharmaceutical compositions including those compounds.
