Abstract
An additive typified by tris(trimethylsilyl)phosphate, tris(trimethylsilyl)borate, and tetrakis(trimethylsiloxy)titanium (Chem. 3) are applied to a nonaqueous electrolyte containing a chain carbonate and/or a chain carboxylate as a main solvent (contained at a ratio of 70 volume % or higher). It is preferable that 0≦a<30 is satisfied, in which 'a' denotes the volume of a cyclic carbonate among carbonates having no carbon-carbon double bond in the entire volume, defined as 100, of the carbonates having no carbon-carbon double bond and chain carboxylates in a nonaqueous solvent contained in the nonaqueous electrolyte (0<a<30 in the case no chain carboxylate is contained).
