Abstract
A ladle () for a casting apparatus () includes a cylindrical melt pouring spout () through which a melt (M) is poured from an accommodation portion (). Protrusions () are formed on opposite sides along the inner circumference of the melt pouring spout () along the lower side and upper side in the vertical direction of the melt pouring spout (). The cross sectional area of the protrusions () in the axial section of the melt pouring spout () gradually increase, while the phase of the protrusions varies gradually in one circumferential direction of the melt pouring spout () from the upstream side towards the downstream side in the flow direction of the melt (M). In addition, the protrusions () become gradually thinner and curve gradually in the respective phase variation direction towards the inside in the radial direction of the melt pouring spout ().
