Abstract

An apparatus and method for the identification of different phases (-) in a multi-phase medium includes at least two arrays (A,B) of ultrasound transducers capable of transmitting and receiving ultrasound through the medium separating them. The method and apparatus is useful for the location of phase interfaces in vessels such as oil separators.
