Abstract
An object of the present invention is to efficiently perform a data transfer by using a plurality of data transfer devices. A storage apparatusincludes: a channel control unithaving a first DMA, a second DMA, and a memory; a processor unit; and a drive control unitthat communicates with a storage device. When the channel control unittransfers to a host computerdata stored in a cache memory, the first DMAreceives from a processor unita setting of a first transfer parameterfor the first DMAcontaining a second transfer parameterfor the second DMA, performs a first data transfer from the cache memoryto the memoryaccording to the first transfer parameter, and sets the second transfer parameter in the second DMAthereby to cause the second DMAto perform a data transfer from the memoryto the host computer
