Abstract
A fixed auger assembly () comprises a pair of identical auger blades () mounted within an auger casing (). The auger casing () includes two end sections, () which are substantially identical, with the exception that one end section () is formed with a flared edge () to partially receive the other end section. The auger blades () include a peripheral annular lip () which is used to affix the auger blades within the auger casing. The auger blades () and the end sections () are preferably assembled using a welding process.
