Abstract

An object of the invention is to provide a charging processing device and a charging processing method capable of performing an appropriate charging process even when a connectionless protocol, such as UDP, is used. Gateway unitsandtransmit data transmitted between a mobile apparatusand a serverto the mobile apparatusor the serveras a transmission destination, and a charging processing unitperforms a charging process according to the amount of data transmitted by the gateway unitsand. A detecting unitdetects whether response data is transmitted from the transmission destination. When the timer value of the time for which communication is not performed is more than a predetermined time and the detecting unitdoes not detect the response data from the transmission destination, the control unitmay control the gateway unitorto stop the transmission process and control the charging processing unitto stop the charging process.
