Abstract
A lens apparatusincludes an image-pickup optical system, an optical elementcapable of being inserted into and extracted from the image-pickup optical system, an actuatorwhich moves the optical element so as to be inserted into and extracted from the image-pickup optical system, and a controllerwhich operates the actuator in accordance with an insert/extract command signal which instructs insertion and extraction of the optical element. The controller limits an operation of the actuator in accordance with an input of the insert/extract command signal during recording or broadcasting an image taken by a camerausing the lens apparatus.
